White Blood Cells
-Formed from myeloid stems or lympnoid stem cells.
-Myeloid stem cells prodcuce all WBC's except lymphocytes.
-The type of WBC produced from myeloid stem cells depends on the Colony Stimulating Factor(CSF) involved:
-M-CSF: Monocyte producing
-G-CSF: Granulocyte producing
-GM-CSF: Granulocyte and Monocyte producing
-Multi-CSF: Speed up production of Granulocytes, Monocytes, Platelets and RBC's.

Types of WBC's
- Neutrophils- Contains a nucleus with 3-7 lobes and is for short term infections.
- Lymphocytes- Cytoplasm is usually a pale blue, nucleus nearly as large as cell and the cell is only slightly larger than an RBC.
-Monocytes- Cytoplasm is usually a pale-blue color, the nucleus is often a kidney-shape, its for chronic or long term diseases and is very large.
-Eosinophils- Red cytoplasm with many granules, is usually a figure-8 or 2 lobbed nucleus and kills parasitic worms.
-Basophils- Cytoplasm stains a dark blue, a U or S-shaped nucleus, large dark purple granules, and is least common.
